How we look after the personal information you share with us through this website.

Who we are

Chroma Properties Ltd ("Chroma", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal information you share through this website. Our address is Kiln Cottage, Curridge, RG18 9DU.

This notice covers this website only. If you become one of our tenants, or sell a property to us, we'll give you a separate notice explaining how we handle your information for that.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • Selling form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and what you tell us about your property.
  • Mailing list: your email address.
  • Technical information: like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't build profiles of visitors.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you'd like, arrange a chat or a meeting. We do this because it's in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us, and because it may be a step towards an agreement with you.
  • To email you when a property becomes available, if you join the mailing list. We do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the website running safely. This is in our legitimate interests.

We never sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to why you gave it to us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who handle information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
  • FormSubmit, which delivers the messages you send through our forms to our inbox.
  • Our email provider, where those messages are stored.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the legal safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to deal with them, and then for no more than two years from our last contact, unless they lead to an agreement (in which case our tenancy or purchase notice applies).
  • Mailing list: until you ask to be removed. Just reply to any email from us, or get in touch.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent to mailing list emails at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact form or write to us at the address above. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We'll update this page if the way we handle information changes. The date below shows when it was last revised.
